Sunshine Through The Storm

SUnThroughStorm.jpg

Hello Navigators.

finally feel more like me again. It’s been a rough month but a huge thank you to those of you who have been by my side throughout the process. I had a lot of difficulty getting through these past few weeks but I’m entirely thankful to be feeling happier and more motivated; it reminds me of the sunshine breaking in the clouds after a long week of thunderstorms. Goodbye dark cloud!

Today, I wanted to share my experience with the darkness, reflect on the things that I have learned, and to share some tips on how to get out of a slump. So, let’s get started.

February Currently List

FebruaryCurrentlyList.jpg

Good morning Navigators!

I’m starting to feel more like myself and it feels great; sort of like the sunshine has broken through the storm clouds. It’s an amazing feeling to feel like you have control over yourself and I’m so thankful to be “out” of it.  We are finally able to purchase everything we wanted for our vacation and for ourselves and I feel great. We might have another shopping spree today so I wanted to get everything out of the way!

I have a series that I have been doing on my blog since last year – for those of you who don’t know I started over on Blogger – and I like to call it my “currently” list. This is when I tell you guys what I’m currently reading, planning, excited for, etc!

So, let’s get started.

Let’s Review: Before I Fall By Lauren Oliver

BeforeIFALLREVIEW.jpg

Hello Navigators!

I’m going to be doing something new – making my first review on my blog! It was one of my goals for February to figure out how to properly review something but I didn’t really find too many rules so I decided to make my own outline. I wanted to give it a test run today and hopefully will be reviewing a lot of things in the future!

If you do reviews on your blog and I forgot anything crucial then I would love it if you could let me know.

My first review is going to be the book “Before I Fall” by Lauren Oliver. So, let’s get started.

Updated 2018 Goals

FotoJet.jpg

Hello again Navigators!

I’m sitting with some takeout from one of my favorite local restaurants and I wanted to do something a little more “me” for my blog.  I used to be the person who would make unrealistic “resolutions” every time the new year would approach. I would say that I would lose “x” amount of weight, find love, etc. It would always had me feeling absolutely lousy by the end of the year. So, last year – I did something new! I set goals for the year and I achieved every single one last year. It made me feel empowered, driven, and helped guide me to what I wanted out of the year.

I made a post earlier on the goals that I had for 2018 – somethings that had to deal with fun, some that would adjust my attitude, and some that were certain tasks. I hated the list and wasn’t really inspired. So, I changed it! I told you guys that I would share it on my blog and I thought that it would be great to do that now. So, let’s get started!

What’s Wrong With Me?

What's Wrong With Me

Hi Navigators,

I have no idea what I’m doing right now. I want to blog but I feel really low and unmotivated right now. If you follow me on Twitter, then you know that I have been in this horrible slump for about a month now. I have been getting confused and angry about everything around me and it has been excruciating to sit and fester in this hole.

I thought that instead of making a post, and hiding my thoughts, I’m going to talk about everything that I’m feeling lately. So, let’s get started.

Wilted Rose

WiltedRose

Good morning Navigators!

I have a bonus post for you guys this week!  One thing you guys don’t really know about me is that I’m (was?) a slam poet. I fell in love with this style of writing in high school and took a class for it. Do you see what I mean by I always saw myself as a writer? I want to start uploading my work here.

I’m going to start with one of the pieces I loved the most! This one is called “Wilted Rose” and it’s an angrier style poem.

Fair warning though is this one has some sexual language, includes swearing, and refers to bullying as well.

Let’s get started.

IPodInventory.jpg

Hello Navigators!

I just realized how close I am to 100 followers here on my WordPress – thank you so much for your support! I love blogging and really appreciate those who like it enough to show their support.  I had a really lousy day yesterday where I was worried about my future and everything but I’m starting to feel a bit better today.  It gave me some time to put together another playlist with you guys so welcome to the “first” in my series – my iPod Inventory – this one being my current favorites!  So, let’s get started.

There are some explicit songs so be wary of that.

This list is not in any particular order.

An Open Letter To Aubri

AnOpenLetterToAubri.jpg

Hello Navigators,

I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t want to post something today and I might abandon this one and come back to it when I’m feeling much better. This is the week of “love” and I wanted to take some time to write an open letter to my little girl.

An open letter to Aubri:

Date & Gift Ideas

DATEANDGIFTIDEAS

Happy Valentine’s Day Navigators!

I’m not one of those people who are bitter about Valentine’s Day, but my husband and I are not actually doing anything today. In fact, he’s at a meeting right now and will be leaving shortly after getting home, to go to his shift. He won’t be home for Valentine’s Day. It’s okay though because I’m not obsessed with it.  We have our anniversary to celebrate these sorts of things, and we are making it a habit to go on a date every month this year.

Today, I wanted to share some gifts that I have given (or received) and some date ideas. So, let’s get started.

100 Truths Blogger Tag

100TRUTHSBLOGGERTAG.jpg

Good morning Navigators!

I think I’m starting to get the annual sickness and I’m sucking on Vitamin C drops, praying that I can combat this before it gets bad. It might just be me and not a cold at all, but I have a horrible feeling that I’m next.  Let me just tell you that being sick is bad but being sick while taking care of a toddler is intimidating to say the least.

Today I wanted to do a questionnaire where I answer 100 “truths” about myself. I have been making a lot of new friends and meeting more people so I thought it would be fitting for you guys to get to know who I am.

This was created by Debbie for My Random Musings; you can read her post here. Obviously, I wasn’t actually tagged or anything but oh well. Feel free to do this on your blog because I love learning about other bloggers. So, let’s get started on these 100 questions, 100 truths, and 100 ways to get to know me better!
